Super Siblings
Calling all big brothers and sisters! Can you help your younger sibling read 50 books for the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program? Reading aloud is a great way for older siblings to practice their reading skills, and help the younger child reach their goal. Children who read at least 50 books aloud to sibling(s) enrolled in 1000 Books Before Kindergarten will receive a special prize.
To participate:
- Register for Super Sibling online. Make sure the child participating in 1000 Books Before Kindergarten is also registered.
- Visit the library to get your Super Sibling Reading Log. Or download one here.
- Start reading books and marking them on the reading log.
- Once the reader has reached 50 books, they can present their reading log to a librarian and receive their Super Sibling certificate and your prize.
